Alberta Business Family Institute (ABFI)

The Alberta Business Family Institute at the Alberta School of Business assists families engaged in a business through transformational educational programs based on research. We seek to help business families and their professional advisors gain a better understanding of the unique issues they face and provide them with practical tools to allow them to make meaningful change in their lives and businesses.

The Centre for Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise seeks to discover and disseminate knowledge relative to the management of family enterprise, particularly in the contexts of entrepreneurialism and internationalization.

The eHub Entrepreneurship Centre aims to assist technological innovation and commercialization by supporting the development of fundamental knowledge about technology processes through scholarly research; fostering connections between university research and industry; stimulating technology entrepreneurship through partnerships with key stakeholders; and expanding our talent pool of managers and entrepreneurially-minded individuals that have a passion for and deep knowledge of key scientific and technological issues related to areas such as nanotechnology, biotechnology, biomedical devices, computing and communications.
